HOW DOES A PAWN SHOP WORK?
A pawn shop is operated by pawn brokers who buy and lend money on items of value. For collateral loans, the situation is straightforward:
1. A customer comes in with an item and shows it to the pawnbroker.
2. The customer and staff member agree on a dollar figure to loan or buy the item.
3. The pawnbroker takes possession of the item.
4. Customer identification is taken.
5. A contract is signed and a copy of the contract and the pawn ticket is given to the customer.
6. The customer receives cash for the item.
This simple process, applicable to both collateral loans and pawns, has been completed countless times, both making the customer happy with their quick cash and adding to our exclusive inventory.
